Ziran Restaurant and BAR9 at The L.A. Grand Hotel Downtown are elegant venues with a relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Downtown’s Business District. Ziran stems from the Chinese culture of Daoism, meaning ‘free’, ‘being unique to oneself’. Ziran’s interior and BAR9 openness fit naturally together into the free-flowing atmosphere of Downtown Los Angeles. With its tasteful, modern art and attentive table & bar service, the experience is sure to impress all that enter.
Ziran offers an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere for breakfast and lunch and is open daily. It is a friendly meeting spot for lunch, small groups, or even romantic dates. With BAR9 just next door, it is an ideal spot for locals to meet up with colleagues after work, grab a libation, order appetizers as well as dinner in an open and dynmaic setting. Upon entering, you’ll experience our beautifully appointed open dining space showcasing contemporary art on the walls, neatly dressed table and linens, and an attentive staff to wait on you as we satisfy the most discerning palate.

With a large menu of drinks and appetizers than usual for a bar, you may actually opt to come and enjoy a scrumptious dinner. This is a friendly place for locals and travelers alike, as a meet-up or hang-out spot after work; recap the day’s activities with the bartender, watch a game with friends or colleagues, or just sit back on one of our many sofas throughout the lobby and relax after a long day. Bar9 is open daily and dress is casual.
